The British Isles

South Plaza eggtc.’s Around the World cuisine tour visits the British Isles!

The Full English Breakfast was a delicious spread of morning favorites that you would find on most breakfast tables across the British Isles. This hearty plate was loaded with your go-to breakfast protein, two sunny-side-up eggs, juicy grill-seared tomatoes and mushrooms, baked beans, and a pan-fried slice of bread.

For something with a little more sweetness, there were the Mango Passion Fruit Cheesy Crumpets. Two warm, homemade crumpets topped with mango passion fruit English cheese and served with a side of mango preserves, fresh strawberries, and two eggs cooked just how you like them!

And for the British Isles-inspired specialty drink, London Fog Lattes – Earl Grey tea and milk with vanilla and lavender. Enjoyed hot or iced!

There were also two made-fresh quiches available each day. Margherita for the veggie option and for meat quiche fans, an Italian Sausage, Onions, Tomatoes, and Jack Cheese Quiche. The soup option was Hearty Tomato.

It wouldn’t be a true stop in Germany without enjoying some spaetzle! The Beef-Bacon Onion Spaetzle – tiny German dumplings sautéed with Beef-Bacon, Onion, and Parsley until perfectly golden. The spaetzle is then topped with shredded Bavarian Cheese and a Poached Egg with a side of German Rye Bread.

The second dish available is a classic Farmer’s Breakfast, or as it is called in German, Bauernfruhstuck – a mouthwatering spread of fluffy Scrambled Eggs, sliced Fried Pickles, Onions, Rosemary, Basil, and Dill, all topped with shredded Bavarian Cheese. You also get German Rye Bread and a side of your choosing.

The final menu item is Potato Pancakes, or Kartoffelpuffer – savory German Pancakes made from shredded Potatoes, Eggs, grated Onions, and Flour. These are fried until golden and served with Applesauce or Fruit Compote, your choice of Breakfast Meat, and 2 Eggs cooked just the way you like!

The new quiche options are Spinach, Onions, and Swiss Cheese for the Veggie option and Italian Sausage, Onions, Tomatoes, and Jack Cheese for the Meat option.
